1 Month to 5 Years: Touch supervision
6 - 14 Years: Visual supervision from the pool deck
Children are more susceptible to overheating than adults. Some physicians warn against young children being in whirlpools because of their inability to regulate their body temperature. Others suggest children not stay in hot tubs for more than 5 minutes at a time. All agree that toddlers and infants are particularly susceptible to overheating. Children should never go under water or bring toys in the whirlpool.
Children, under the age of 10, must be directly supervised by a parent or guardian in the locker rooms and showers.
Children, under the age of 15, must be directly supervised by a parent or guardian in the whirlpools, saunas and steam rooms.
The pool will be cleared when thunder is heard or lightening is seen and remain cleared until 20 minutes after the last sound of thunder or sighting of lightning. For your convenience, the lifeguard will post "pool closed" signs and will alert the Front and Tennis Desks. If it is raining and there is no thunder or lightning, swimmers will be allowed to swim at the discretion of the lifeguards.
