Little Rock Athletic Club Child Care and Junior Policies
Child Care (age 1 month
to 6 years)
Child Care is available for all children between
the ages of one month to six years. Children over six years
will not be accepted in the Child Care area. Parents are
asked not to leave the premises when their child(ren) are
in the Child Care room in the case of an emergency. All
children must be signed in and out by the parent and any
special care information is to be on file for the Child
Care attendants. Guests of members may use the Child Care
room on a space available basis only, paying the fee set
by Management.
A. Child Care Hours:
Monday – Thursday 8:00 am – 9:00 pm
Friday 8:00 am – 7:30 pm
Saturday 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
Sunday 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm
B. Child Care Prices:
$3.00 per hour for first child
$2.50 per hour for each additional child up to 3 children
Please pick up your children promptly. Fifteen minutes into an additional hour will result in being charged for the entire hour.
MAXIMUM STAY IS THREE (3) HOURS
If you are an LRAC member, you are encouraged to use child care
for your children. We have a comfortable and bright play area,
cribs for napping, and a convenient bathroom inside the child
care area. Even though we provide safe and enjoyable toys and
activities, your child may bring his/her own favorite toys. Toys
from home must be deemed safe by the child care staff and be clearly
labeled with the child’s name in order to be brought into
the child care area. We are not responsible for loss or damage
to any items brought from home.
Food Policy
Snacks are acceptable but full meals will not be served. All
drinks brought into the child care area must be in labeled containers
with lids. Please make sure your child is adequately fed prior
to bringing him/her to child care. Chewing gum is not allowed in
the Child care area.
Diaper Changes
Please supply your own diapers in a name-labeled bag. You may
also wish to bring a change of clothes for your child.
Emergency Care
In the event of an emergency, every effort will be made to locate
you in the club. However, to make this process more efficient,
please remember to specify on the sign-in/sign-out sheet where
you will be in the club. In the case of a fire all children will
be evacuated through the safest exit.
Sick Child Policy
In order to maintain a clean and healthy environment for all
children we ask that you refrain from bringing your child to child care
if he/she is sick and/or displaying signs of illness which may
include:
- A cold
- Fever of 100 degrees or more within the past 24 hours
- Constant cough
- First 24 hours on an antibiotic
- Diarrhea (when not on antibiotics)
- Displaying abnormal disposition
- Rashes
- Chicken Pox (Child cannot return until 14 days after break out)
For Your Child's Protection
Children will only be released to parents or a designated guardian
as specified on the Information sheet or sign-in sheet. Children
must be directly supervised by a parent, or checked in to either
the Down Under Center (DUC), or the Child Care area while at the
LRAC.
Upon entering the child care, please check in your child by filling
out the sign-in sheet. If a person other than yourself is picking
up your child it must be indicated on the sheet. When you or another
authorized person pick up your child please sign out on the sheet.
Junior Policies (ages 5
to 14 years)
Children are people with special needs and interests, and we
at the LRAC want to provide an atmosphere of understanding, respect,
and acceptance for your children while at the club. For this goal
to be achieved, we need the cooperation of all parents in adhering
to the following policies.
Supervisory Care
Juniors in this age group are required to be under the direct
supervision of a parent or legal guardian (18 years or older),
or checked-in to either the Down Under Center, or the Child Care
area while at the LRAC. All unattended children age six and under
will be taken to the child care. Children ages seven and up will
be taken to the Front Lounge until a parent can be located.
Cardiovascular Equipment
Juniors, age 14 and under, are not allowed to use the treadmills.
Adults have priority on all cardiovascular equipment. No
negligent play at any time will be allowed or tolerated
in the cardiovascular areas.
Weight Training Equipment
Due to the advanced nature of the weight equipment, juniors
must be 15 years or older to be alone on either of the weight
floors.
Juniors, ages 10-14, must be under the direct supervision of
a parent.
Children, ages 9 & under, are not allowed on either Weight
floor.
Small babies, in infant carriers, are not allowed on Weight floor
No negligent play at any time will be allowed or tolerated in
the Weight room areas.
Locker Rooms
Lockers will not be given to children under the age of fifteen.
Children must be directly supervised.
Children, 5 years of age and older, are not allowed in the Locker
rooms of the opposite sex.
Juniors, ages 12 and under, are not allowed in the whirlpool(s)
unless a parent is in the spa with them.
Pool Use: No lifeguard on duty: Children age 14 and under must
be supervised by a parent.
Lifeguard on duty: Children ages 8-14 that have passed the swim
test; parents must be on the premisis.
