2026 Tennis Club Championship

Woohoo! Registration is officially open for the 2026 Tennis Club Championship, our favorite (and most exciting) tennis week of the year.

This year’s format is all about the member experience: more great matches, fewer marathon days, and plenty of time to enjoy the fun, social side of the Championship. To make that happen, we’re spreading play out a bit — including a front-end weekend just for singles, followed by doubles and mixed play during the week with a full weekend to wrap things up.

Additionally, to make scheduling easier, you have to pick your level if you are playing two doubles events this year. So... if you're a 3.5 in one event, you're a 3.5 in the second doubles event. And, yes, because our singles weekend is separate you can play three events which means the “Triple Crown” is back in play!

Please review the information below and holler if you have questions.

How the Week Will Flow

Singles: January 23–25 (Friday–Sunday)

Indoors at LRAC

  • 3–5 entries: Round robin
  • 6+ entries: Draw with a two-match guarantee
  • Players are out after two losses
  • A lower bracket exists, but it does not feed back into the final
  • Same format you’ve played in prior years

Doubles & Mixed Doubles: January 26 – February 1

Indoors at LRAC and LRRC

  • Weeknight matches: Monday–Friday at 6:00 and 7:30 pm
  • Weekend play: All day Saturday, January 31 and Sunday, February 1
  • All 13 courts in play on weeknights starting at 6:00 pm

Formats

  • 3–5 entries: Round robin
  • 6+ entries: Draws that feed into the semifinals — giving larger brackets extra play

As always, locations and schedules may adjust based on participation or other factors as determined by Tournament staff.

Weekday Play (What This Really Means)

If everything runs as planned:

  • Most players will play one evening on Monday, Tuesday OR Wednesday per division.
  • Thursday is where things really start rolling and may include some consolation play.
  • The goal: lighter loads on Saturday and Sunday, while keeping the Championship weekend energetic and social
  • If there’s a weekday you absolutely cannot play, just tell us. We’ll do our very best to work around it but no promises

Event Entry Guidelines

  • One singles event
  • Up to two doubles events AT THE SAME LEVEL
    • Regular + Mixed
    • Regular + Senior
    • Senior + Mixed
  • You may play up within 0.5 point
  • All players entering an Open event must have a rating of 4.5 or better to enter.
  • Men’s 50+ 4.5 and Open divisions may be played as 4.5+ depending on participation.
