The game is not hard to learn but a professional introduction to America's fastest growing sport will make it easier for you. This program, which is geared for absolute beginners, provides a safe and fun place for you to give pickleball a try. Registration is required. You can do so on the app under "Programs" or by calling the Club.

Junior Beginners' Drill and Play

We hold group lessons designed to introduce young people to the fun of pickleball. They'll spend the first 30 minutes on fundamentals including groundstrokes, dinks, volleys, serving, returning, footwork, scoring and tactics. The final half hour will be spent enjoying supervised match play with players similar in age and experience.

Regularly attending skills and drills sessions is an easy way to improve certain (or all) aspects of your game, including serves/returns, dinking, transitions, volleys/blocking, strategy etc. If you're looking to level up your game or hone in on a particular skill, these classes are for you. To ensure plenty of opportunity for practice, these sessions are capped at 8 registrants. TAC members can register on the app or by calling Athletic. Guests should call Athletic to register and pay.

supervised doubles play

Once you've conquered game basics, you're ready for supervised doubles play. In this class, an instructor will explain doubles basics, including where to stand, the serve rotation, whose ball is whose and very basic shot selection, i.e. "don't feed the opponents easy ones!" The first 15 - 20 minutes will consist of warm up drills followed by 45 - 60 minutes of supervised doubles play working on positioning and shot selection. To ensure plenty of opportunity for practice, these sessions are capped at 8 registrants. TAC members can register on the app or by calling one of the Clubs. Guests should call Athletic to register and pay.
